Please Let Me Stay the NightShe sat on the front step of her house, unhappy and brooding. She contemplated, rethought, and prophesized. After all this, the only thing left in her mind were the lyrics to the most depressing song she had listened to all day.  
 
"I will buy you a garden, where your flowers can bloom. I will buy you that big house way up in the west hills. I will buy you a new life, oh yeah..."  
 
Desperately, she ached for the ability to control life, to provide for her, to add to her happiness infinitely and easily. She wanted to, but knowing that she couldn't, created a sense of being crushed from the inside out.  
 
Walki Please Let Me Stay the Night

Midnight BedIt was nearly midnight, and the walk from the study to bed was met with a few crashes into the walls and trips over cords and shoes. Eventually, Mor found the doorknob and stumbled into Lii's room. She was careful to be quiet and slipped into bed, next to the sleeping kitten. Afraid that Lii would wake up startled, Mor held her breath, waiting. Instead, Lii sighed and put an arm around the other girl.  
 
Mor settled in, relaxing, breathing deeply. She inched a bit closer and played with Lii's hair. Lii's tail swished a bit and in a minute, Mor heard quiet purring. The idea to wake Lii up was tempting, but they both had an eight am Midnight Bed

whatever  a new day  has to give  to me.   
Continue on solitary.  Work.  Continuously.
